Dr. Yasin İlemin, one of the researchers of our university, has concluded his project on the fires that occurred in Antalya and Muğla last summer. The project, which was included in the "Ecological and Socio-Economic Effects of Large Forest Fires in the Mediterranean Region" report, was shared with the public on World Forestry Day on March 21.
The research, which was prepared to reveal the current situation after the forest fires in our city last summer, and to investigate the ecological and socio-economic effects of the fires, has been completed with the participation of our university Fethiye Ali Sıtkı Mefharet Koçman Vocational School Environmental Protection Technologies Department lecturer Dr.Yasin İlemin as a researcher and PhD student in the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Uğur Can Köşk, as an Environmental Sociologist.
The project was included in the "Ecological and Socio-Economic Impacts of Large Forest Fires in the Mediterranean Region" report prepared by WWF-Turkey (Wildlife Conservation Foundation) and NATURA Nature and Cultural Protection Association, one of the world's largest environmental protection organizations.
Dr. İlemin, a faculty member of our University who contributed greatly to the report with his photographs and researches, also edited the report.
Furthermore, Dr. İlemin's study, titled "Wildlife", will be published as a book soon.
