Our Faculty of Sports Sciences Marks Tournaments

Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) Faculty of Sports Sciences puts its mark on all the tournaments in which it takes part. Our Faculty of Sports Sciences, which appeared in many championships and tournaments in March with various teams, returned to our University with medals and degrees.
Sıtkı Koçman University Athletics Women's Team came second in Turkey at the Inter-University Indoor Athletics Turkey Championships held in Bursa between 8-9 March 2022. In the Athletics Women's Team, Şerife Uysal is the first person in Turkey in the 60m hurdles and 200m races; Miray Nisa Ürün is third in Turkey in the three-step jump race; Derya Kaya is third in the 3000m race in Turkey; Rahime Tekin was third in the 800m and 1500m races in Turkey. Our team also won the Turkish championship in the women's 4x200m category in the relay team races and the Turkish third place in the men's team races.
Our university also competed in the " Uni - league Indoor Football 2nd League" competitions, which are included in the activity calendar of the Turkish University Sports Federation and held in İzmir Katip Çelebi University Çiğli Campus. Sıtkı Koçman University Women's Futsal Team lifted the cup by finishing 2nd in the single-circuit league.
More than 700 athletes from 121 universities competed in the Turkish Universities Kickboxing Championship held in Erzurum. Sıtkı Koçman University Kick Boxing Team managed to take the podium by continuing the tradition in this year's event.
The MSKU Kick Boxing Team won a total of 11 medals, including 2 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze, and finished second in the "Women's K1" category and third in the "Women's Full Contact" category.
Our University's Women's and Men's Hockey Teams also made us proud at the Hockey Uni - league Turkey Championship. Approximately 150 athletes from various universities competed in the Hockey Uni - league Turkey Championship held in Gaziantep, which is on the calendar of the Turkish University Sports Federation. 7 women and 11 male students representing our university achieved great success in the championship. Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Men's Hockey Team finished second in Turkey and the Women's Hockey Team finished fourth in Turkey.
