Organ Transplantation Center has been put into service within the body of Muğla Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi (Muğla Training and Research Hospital).

The first kidney transplant surgery was successfully carried out at the Center, which was approved, registered and certified by the Ministry of Health on February 6, 2021, within the Muğla Training and Research Hospital. The kidney transplant surgery was performed by Organ Transplant Center Director Prof. Dr. Okay Nazlı, Center Manager Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Urkan and his team.

With the Organ Transplant Center, which is the first in Muğla, patients who have to receive their treatment outside the province will now have access to these services more easily.

Our University Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çiçek, who stated that they work hard in collaboration with all public institutions and organizations to make Muğla a health base for the region, said that the Organ Transplant Center is essential for both public health and health tourism.
