The Rector of MSKU, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çiçek gave certificates to the children who successfully completed the 20-session "Interaction-Based Language Intervention Program" carried out in the Practice Clinic of the Department of Language and Speech Therapy of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU).
Specialist Language and Speech Therapist Şükriye Kayhan Aktürk, who carried out the Interaction-Based Language Intervention Program, stated that at the end of this program, there was a serious improvement in social skills as well as receptive and expressive language development in children. Expressing that such programs have an undeniable positive effect on both students and parents, Kayhan Aktürk also drew attention to the importance of early intervention.
Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Kılıçhan Bayar was also present at the event and the Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çiçek played games with the students and gave the certificates to the students.
The Department of Language and Speech Therapy - the Faculty of Health Sciences will start accepting students for the first time in the 2021-2022 Academic Year. Through this department, it is planned to deliver similar therapy programs and activities to people residing in Muğla and the surrounding provinces.
