Ceramics Department Building Opened

The opening ceremony was held for the Ceramics Department building, which was built by the businessperson Yunus Büyükkuşoğlu, at our University's Bodrum Faculty of Fine Arts. After the ceremony, Büyükkuşoğlu was awarded the title of honorary doctor.
 
Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) Bodrum Fine Arts Faculty Ceramics Department started postgraduate education in the 2017-2018 academic year and undergraduate education in the 2018-2019 academic year. In order to meet the needs of the department, with the support of Yunus Büyükkuşoğlu, a valuable businessperson and one of Turkey's most important collectors, the Ceramics Department building was built on the campus of our Bodrum Faculty of Fine Arts.
 
An opening ceremony was held at Bodrum Fine Arts Faculty for the building, the foundations of which were laid in May 2018, completed in September 2019 and started to be actively used for educational activities.
 
At the ceremony, Yunus Büyükkuşoğlu was awarded the title of honorary doctor for his important services and contributions in line with the development of science, art, culture and social life and the basic values of the University. Büyükkuşoğlu's robe was given by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çiçek.
 
Bodrum Fine Arts Faculty Ceramics Department building has 6 workshops, 1 laboratory, 1 computer laboratory, 1 library, 1 exhibition hall, 2 warehouses and 8 lecturer rooms in a closed area of 1200 m2.
