MSKU Had Fun with "Balkan Melodies"

Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Department of Fine Arts gave a magnificent concert to those who love Balkan music with the "Balkan Melodies Concert.

The concert held at Atatürk Cultural Center, July 15 Democracy Martyrs Hall with Seval Yıldız on the piano and Instructor Erhan İşseveroğlu on the violin, attracted great attention from the students and citizens of Muğla.

The concert started with the popular Balkan tune "Ederlezi" composed by Goran Bregovic, continued with the folk songs “Ben Bir Göçmen Kızı Gördüm Tuna Boyunda”, “Arda Boylarında Kırmızı Erik”, “Rumelaj”, “Bülbülüm Altın Kafeste”, “Yarım Hava- Zilli De Maşa”, “Vardar Ovası”, “Payduşka”, “ Ak Güvercin Olaydım”, “Sevdiğim İki Gözüm Ellere Yar Oldu Babuba”, “Eleno Mome”, “Kırcali İle Arda Arası”, “Mavrova'dan Aldım Bir Okka Nohut”, “Evreşe Yolları Dar” ve “Kızılcıklar Oldu mu?” "Mavrova'dan Aldı Bir Okka Nohut", "Evreşe Yollari Dar" and "Kızılcıklar Oldu Mu?".

On the magnificent night where art lovers witnessed an entertaining concert, world music with samples from Rumelian, Balkan and Thracian melodies met with the audience.

Those who came to watch the concert accompanied the entertaining with applause and dances on the enthusiastic night.
